Serena K. McGann, Esq.

Serena K. McGann joined Keith Family Law in 2024 with a deep commitment to helping clients move forward during life’s most challenging transitions. She has devoted her entire legal career to family law, practicing at boutique firms in Little Falls and Hackensack, New Jersey, where she focused exclusively on divorce, custody, child support, domestic violence, litigation, Prenuptial Agreements, Marital Settlement Agreements, and mediation.

Serena approaches each case with a steady hand and a client-centered mindset, especially passionate about supporting women who feel unheard or overwhelmed by the legal process. Her work is rooted in compassion, strategy, and clear communication.

She earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School and her B.B.A. in International Business, with a minor in Sociology, from Florida Atlantic University. During law school, Serena was a practicing member of the Child Advocacy Clinic and interned with the Hon. Tara Schillari-Rich, J.S.C. in Hudson County Family Court. She also clerked for a family law practitioner in Fairfield and completed a policy internship with the Joyful Heart Foundation, a nonprofit focused on supporting survivors of sexual assault.

Before law school, Serena volunteered with Aid to Victims of Domestic Violence (AVDA), offering hands-on support to survivors — an experience that continues to shape her work and purpose as a family law attorney.

Raised in South Florida, Serena has proudly put down roots in New Jersey — returning to her family’s Brooklyn and Jersey origins. She’s lived in Hudson and Essex Counties and is active in cat rescue work. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, attending Broadway musicals, and spending time with her fiancee and their many pets.

Serena is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Essex County Bar Association, the Union County Bar Association, the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, and the New York Women’s Bar Association.
